Tavanic is a medicine that contains a substance called levofloxacin, which is an antibiotic used to treat bacterial infections.
Dosage and method of use:
- The usual dose for treating prostatitis of TAVANIC is 500 mg per day for 28 days.
- The dose required for the treatment of pelvic inflammatory disease is allowed to take 750 mg of the drug intravenously.
- For the treatment of bronchitis, it is allowed to take 250 mg per day for 17 days.
- For the treatment of skin infections, it is allowed to take 250 mg once or twice daily for two weeks.
Indications:
- Acute bacterial sinusitis
- Acute exacerbation of chronic bronchitis
- community acquired pneumonia
- Complex skin and soft tissue infections
- For the infections listed above, Tavanic should only be used when it is not appropriate to use the antibacterials normally recommended for the initial treatment of these infections.
- Pyelonephritis and complex urinary tract infections
- Chronic bacterial prostatitis
- Uncomplicated cystitis
- Inhalation anthrax: prevention and post-exposure treatment
