Tavanic is a medicine that contains a substance called levofloxacin, which is an antibiotic used to treat bacterial infections.

Dosage and method of use:

•  The usual dose for treating prostatitis of TAVANIC is 500 mg per day for 28 days.
•  The dose required for the treatment of pelvic inflammatory disease is allowed to take 750 mg of the drug intravenously.
•  For the treatment of bronchitis, it is allowed to take 250 mg per day for 17 days.
•  For the treatment of skin infections, it is allowed to take 250 mg once or twice daily for two weeks.

Indications:

•  Acute bacterial sinusitis
•  Acute exacerbation of chronic bronchitis
•  community acquired pneumonia
•  Complex skin and soft tissue infections
• For the infections listed above, Tavanic should only be used when it is not appropriate to use the antibacterials normally recommended for the initial treatment of these infections.
•  Pyelonephritis and complex urinary tract infections
•  Chronic bacterial prostatitis
•  Uncomplicated cystitis
•  Inhalation anthrax: prevention and post-exposure treatment
